Our Adventure at Guadalindie 2025 💧🎮✨

On May 16th and 17th, we took part in Guadalindie, the indie video game fair in southern Spain, held in Málaga — and we’re still buzzing from the experience! It was our first time having our own booth, and we couldn’t be happier with how it all went.

We brought an exclusive demo of Dylio’s Adventures just for the event, along with a backpack full of surprises: we set up a schedule of challenges and mini-games where people could win fun goodies — stickers, lollipops, and little keychains of Dylio’s treasures hidden in our “Backpack Surprise” boxes. Some folks came back several times just to try and collect them all!

Right from the start, we were blown away by how many people were excited to try out the demo. We heard so many lovely comments like “this game looks amazing,” “I love the art style,” and “the core mechanic is super fun.” The original soundtrack, composed by Sara López Productions, got lots of love too — we kept hearing “this music is awesome!” 🎵💜

On top of all the support from players, we received invaluable feedback that we’ll be putting to good use in the next version of the game. And that’s not all: we also made tons of new connections in the industry, and it was super exciting to see press and publishers drop by to congratulate us on the project. We even won an award! 🏆 During the GOTI awards ceremony, the organizers gave us the “Friendship Harvesters” award (for the coolest giveaway). We didn’t see it coming, and it truly moved us!

We felt incredibly supported throughout the entire event — by the Guadalindie staff, fellow developers, and even people who jumped in to help as if they were part of our team! All the work we put in during the past few months was totally worth it.

We want to say a huge THANK YOU to Sara López Productions and Den PixelArt for their unconditional support and for always being there for us. Also, a big shoutout to our families, who came by to cheer us on, and to all the amazing folks in the indie scene who stopped by our booth and helped out like we were a much bigger team than just the two of us at Lava Candy Games.

We left Guadalindie with full hearts, lighter backpacks (thanks to everyone who took home a treasure!), and tons of excitement to keep building and sharing the world of Dylio with all of you.

See you on the next adventure! 🚀💎
